Pair of Bull Elk Teeth from The Black Hills of South Dakota. 

In many Native American cultures, elk teeth (specifically the canines, sometimes called "ivories") hold symbolic meaning representing strength, stamina, longevity and status. They were also used as currency , decoration and good luck charms.

Elk teeth have been worn as a symbol of initiation into the Elks Lodge.
